ResearchontheCrime StatusandGovernance Strategiesof Smuggling Precious Animalsand Precious Animal Products

Abstract：As an important destination countryfor the crime of smuggling precious animals and precious animal products，China's ecological civilization and economic order are not only endangered by such criminal cases.Animals and products that havenot been quarantined in export areas and carrydiseases entering China mayalsolead to biosecurity issues.Byanalyzing 485cases publiclyavailableonthe China Judgments Online from2009 to 2024，itwas foundthatthenumber of such criminal cases isonthenise，the sourcecountries and regionsof smuggling arerelativelyscattered，andtheillegal trade methods are networked.Based on thecontainment theory，this paper explores the impact of internal and external forces and resistance on the formation of crime，and proposes relevant work suggestions such as strict customs supervision，strengthening international coperationinborder inspections，and crackingdown onillegal smuggling platforms ontheinternet，in orderto better achieve the goal of crime prevention.
