Abstract:Inthefieldofagricultural production,the trenching effectof trenchers playsacrucialroleincropgrowth.To address theresearch gap in evaluating trenchingefectiveness,this study developed a MATLAB-based system for quantitative assessment.Initialy,asoil modelwas established inEDEMsoftware using measured soil parameters toconduct simulatedtrenching experiments.Subsequently,animage-drivenevaluationsystem wasdesigned byanalyzingexperimental images.Finally,thesystemquantitativelyassssedtrenchingperformance through threemetrics:soildisturbance,furrow profilefiting acuracy,andsoil wedge failureanalysis.Theresultsdemonstratethat this evaluationsystemachieves precise quantification of trenching effectiveness.
