AbstractBy dissecting the composition of thecourtyard complex ecosystem，and the relationship between the complex ecosystem and landscape design，the current situationof the courtyard landscape in Jian Tou Vilage，Wugang City，Hunan Province were comprehensivelyanalyzed，and targeted design strategies were proposed.Acourtyardis essentially an ecosystem that integrates“economic-socio-cultural”subsystems with theenvironment as the foundation andsocietyasthemediumofcirculation.Inthesocial subsystemof the studyarea，there isascarcityofland for public welfare undertakings and public facilities，and the landscape types are monotonous.Therural characteristics of the residential landscape need tobehighlighted.The landscapeof the economic subsystem asa wholelacksvariation.The productionlandscapeand theauxiliaryproduction landscapeare basically distributedindependently，and the connection between the two needs tobe strengthened.The actual developmentandutilizationrateofcultural resources inthe cultural subsystem is not high，andtherelatedcultures need tobe integratedand presented.Basedon the above curent situation，it is proposed to enhance the comprehensive functions of the existing spacebyusing advanced technologies and management methods，rationally disassemble and integrate neighborhood spaces，andadd landscape featuressuch as“green”fences，bamboo hedges，and pebblepaths.Strengthen thesubjectivityand integrityof the landscape，set up viewing platforms，and enrich the functions of the existing site. Design cultural landscapes based on historicalandcultural elements，increase theapplicationof landscape elementssuchashistorical figures，historical events，and humanistic spirit，and adoptdiverse design techniques to create distinctive landscapes and otherstrategies. This article provides a reference for improving the landscape effect of rural courtyards.
