【Abstract】ObjectiveTo report the clinical cases of 2 patients with smallintestinal diverticula.Methods Twopatients hadabnormalimaging findings inthesmall intestine，andtheclinicalfindings wereconsistentwith the complications related tosmall intestinediverticulum.The clinicopathologyof2cases ofsmall intestine diverticula was analyzed.ResultsThe postoperativepathological specimensof2patients with smallintestinal diverticulum showed that the parietal tissue structure was thin，mainly composed of mucosal layer andsubmucosal layer，and lacked typical muscularlayersupport，which mayberelatedtothechronic efectof elevated intestinal pressureon theintestinal wallUnder microscope，both case 1 and case 2 showed chronic inflammatory reactions of varying degrees，in which the mucosa and submucosa were the main lesion areas，accompanied by ectopic pancreatic tissue， which was manifested as the typical tissue structure of pancreatic glands and ducts.This ectopic pancreatic tissue maybethe productof abnormal embryonicdevelopment，and itssecretory functionhas potential effects on the local mucosal environment.The mucosallayerof case1 showed significant lymphocyteand plasma cellinfiltration with local superficial ulceration covered with celllosic exudate.The submucosal hyperemia below the ulcer area was evident，with focal fibrosisand telangiectasia.The mucosa and submucosa of case 2 also had chronic inflammatory cell infiltration，but with acute inflammatorymanifestations，as neutrophils clusteredaround capillries in the submucosa.Thehistological examination of thepatientalso found thatthe gastric mucosal glands were heterogeneously located in the diverticular wall，and the gastric mucosal tissues showed a typical glandular duct structure，with mild local glandularatrophyand epithelial cellhyperplasia.ConclusionChronic inflamm-ationand fibrosis are the core pathological features of small intestine diverticulum.
