Cross-Scale Contact Interface Modeling and Modal Test Validation of Gas Turbine Tie-Bolt Rotors

Abstract: Aiming at the weakening of the contact interface stiffness of gas turbine tie rod rotor and the statistical difference between the curvic couplings grinding wheel and plane machining,a cross-scale contact interface modeling method of tie rod rotor is proposed,and the influence of macro-geometric parameters and micro-interface parameters on interface effects is analyzed. First,the t Location-Scale distribution was introduced to characterize the height distribution of the micro convex of the tooth surface of the curvic couplings,and the rationality and superiority of the t Location-Scale distribution was confirmed based on the actual measurement data of the tooth surface of the curvic couplings face. Then, the cross-scale contact stiffness model of curved end teeth considering the complete deformation process of the material was established. The rotor modeling and modal analysis of a real gas turbine were carried out by means of the equivalent material contact method with end teeth. Finally,a domestic rotor modal percussion experiment of a circular tie bar heavy-duty gas turbine was carried out. Compared with the traditional statistical model and the simulation model without considering the contact effect,the simulation results of the proposed method were in good agreement with the real results,and the relative errors of the first four modes were 2.61% , 0.63% , 0.03% and 4.78% ,respectively. The error was increased by 1.25% , 2.92% , 1.72% and 1.55% ,respectively. The results showed that the proposed method was superior to other models in modeling the contact interface of curvic couplings. Therefore,it has been proven as an efficient and accurate cross-scale modeling method for the circumferential tie rod rotors of curvic couplings.
