Metaverse譯名探析

摘 要：2021年堪稱“元宇宙”元年，該詞火爆席卷各大報刊版面及網(wǎng)絡(luò)頭條，同時也引發(fā)了人們對該術(shù)語翻譯的思考。文章從metaverse的詞源和詞義著手，對比原名和譯名的翻譯等值程度、語義規(guī)范，提出應(yīng)翻譯成“虛時空”，并從音形意方面及倫理層面進(jìn)行論證，給出理據(jù)。

On the Translation of Metaverse//DENG Lulu， ZHANG Zheng

Abstract： 2021 can be seen as the first year of metaverse. The word appears frequently in major newspapers and Internet headlines. At the same time， it also leads to people’s thinking on the translation of the term. Starting from the etymology and meaning of metaverse， and based on comparing the translation equivalence and semantic norms between the original term and the translated one， we propose to translate it into “xushikong（虛時空）” from the aspect of pronunciation， form and meaning as well as from the ethical level， and provide for doing so.
