Investigation and Evaluation of Geological Hazard Risk in Huyi District,ShaanxiProvince

Abstract:[Purposes] This study aims to further investigate the geological hazards and their development trends in Huyi District,and enhance the ability to prevent and control geological disasters.[Methods] Through 1:50,000 geological hazard risk assessment, field investigation and drilling were conducted to identifythe types and formation mechanism of geological hazards in the region,and the distribution pattem of geological hazards was summarized.[Findings] According to the slope unit, the geological hazard risk area is clasified into 34 zones,and the geological hazard investigation spatial database is established,among them,there are 11 extremely high risk areas,17high risk areas,3 medium risk areas and 3low risk areas.[Conclusions] Strengthen the management of geological hazard risk areas,fully consider the factors of extremely high geological hazard and high-risk areas in the preparation of national spatial planning,and strictly regulate land use.
