Analysis of Forest Resource Changes and Influencing Factors in Jiangxi Province

Abstract：[Purposes] This paper analyzes the changes of forest resources in Jiangxi Province from 2000 to 2018，clarifies the changes of forest resources in the province and its influencing factors，and gives suggestions on the prediction and management of forest resources.[Methods] The methods of inductive comprehensive analysis and principal component analysis were adopted to analyze the spatiotemporal changes and influencing factors of forest resources in Jiangxi Province [Findings] The results showed that the area of forest resources in Jiangxi Province increased by from 2000 to 2018. The area of forest resources in Fuzhou，Pingxiang and Ji'an changed greatly，and the change rates of forest resources area were 1 % ，0.8 % and 0.9 % respectively compared with the whole province.However， the area of forest resources incentral and eastern Jiangxi，such as Jingdezhen，Nanchang and Shangrao，increased slowly.[Conclusions] Although the forest resources in most cities of Jiangxi Province are increasing yearby year，however，the growth rate of thecentral and eastern regions is slow，and the continuous development and over-exploitation of urbanization have caused some damage to the growth of forest resources.Human activities are the main driving force forthe change of forest resources in Jiangxi Province.Each potential driving factor has a strong correlation with the change of forest resources.
