Landslide Stability Analysis Considering the Influenceof Reservoir WaterLevel Fluctuation and Heavy Rain

Abstract:[Purposes] This paper aims to study the change of stability coeficient of hydrodynamic pressure landslide with different permeability coefficients under the action of reservoir waterlevelfluctuation and heavy rain. [Methods]Taking a specific landslide as the object,this paper numerically simulates its stability coefficient based on saturated-unsaturated seepage theory and finite element analysis.The stability coefficient calculation conditions are the change of reservoir water level between 175 and 145 m, diferent reservoir water levelfluctuation rates and 3 days of continuous heavy rain.[Findings] With the decrease of reservoir water level,the stability coefficientof hydrodynamic pressure landslide decreases; the stability coefficient of landslide increases with the increase of reservoir water level; three days of heavy rain leads toa significant decrease in landslide stability,and the rateof decrease of stability coeficient increases first and then decreases with the increase of permeability coefficient.[Conclusions] The fluctuation rate of reservoir water level directlyaffects the stability coeficient of landslide,and heavy rain will aggravate this effect.The larger the permeability coefficient is,the more obvious the effect is.
