Study on Extraction of Peony Seed Oil Assisted by Steam Blasting Technology

Abstract: Taking the extraction rate of peonyseed oil asthe index,steam blasting-assisted cold pressing technology wasadopted to optimize the extraction process of peony seed oil through single factorand response surface experiments.On this basis,the effect of steam explosion on the faty acid composition was analyzed. The results showed that the optimal extraction process of peony seed oil was steam explosion time of 70 s, explosion pressure of 1.2 MPa,and cavity material ratio of2:1 (mL/mL). Underthese conditions,the extraction rate of peony seed oil was 31.03% ,andthe extraction rate of peony seed oil with steam explosion pretreatment increased by 12.644% higher than that without steam explosion. The fatty acid analysis results showed that the content of oleic acid,stearic acid,and arachidic acid in the peony seed oil extracted by steam explosionassisted cold pressng technology higher than those in the non-steam explosion product.This study provided a theoretical basis for the eficient extraction and quality control of peony seed oil.
