Research on dry-hot urban landscape design from the perspective of nature education

AbstractThe feasibility of urban park green space as a place for nature education,the design principles and strategiesof urban parks from the perspective of nature education were analyzed.Taking the Yuquan Street Park in Kunyu City,Xinjiang asanexample,thedesign practice iscarredoutfrom8aspectssuchasoveralldesign,landscape structureand plantconfiguration,inorder toeffectivelysolvetheproblemsofregionalityandhotanddryclimate.Urban parks had 5characteristics such as accessibilitydiversityandparticipation.As acarier of nature education,they had greatdevelopment space.The overallandscape structureof Yuquan Street Park was one belt,five sections and multiple nodes.Plants with good drought resistanceandsandadaptability were selected for plant configurationin the wild natural space and interactive experience space.Reduce runoff and improve the utilization efficiency of rainwater by building rain gardens;the configuration of a nature education interpretationsystem,the planning of nature art workshops, observations of wild desert plants and other nature education activities were conduciveto creating a nature education space in urban parks.This article provides areference for the landscape design of urban parks withthe background of nature education.
