The Export of China's New Energy Vehicles under the Carbon Tariffs in Europe and the United States： Breaking through Technical Barriers by Standards

Abstract：Against the backdropof the vigorous promotionof low-carbondevelopmentacrosstheworld， thenew energy vehicleindustryinChinahasgraduallexpandeditsinfluenceintheinternationalmarketduetofactorssuchastechnological progressandscaleefects.However，thecarbontariffpoliciesimplementedbyEuropeandtheUnitedStates，suchastheCarbon Border Adjustment Mechanism（CBAM）of theEuropeanUnion，havebrought severechallnges tothe export ofChina's new energy vehiclesThisstudysystematicallsortsoutthecontentofthecarbontariffpoliciesinEuropeandtheUnited States， andanalyzes indetailthecurrentsituationofChina'snewenergyvehicleexports toEuropeandtheUnitedStatesIt studies themulti-dimensionalimpactsofthecarbontariffpoliciesinEuropeandtheUnitedStatesonexportsincludingtheincrease in costs，thecompetitionformarketshare，theincreasing pressureoftechnologicalinnovation，andtheintensificationof supplychainrisksItdiscussesindetailthedifficultiesinthecertificationprocessandintellectualpropertyrights.heaper proposes measures suchasbuildingalife-cyclecarbonemissonaccountingsystem，strengthening technologicalinnovation and brandbuildingactivelyusing internationalmechansms toparticipateinstandardsdevelopment，andstrengtheningquality supervisionandinternationalcoperation，inordertoprovidingomprehensiveandin-depththeoreticalandpracticalguidance forthe sustainabledevelopmentofChina'snewenergyvehicleindustryandimproving its internationalmarketcompetitiveness under the carbon tariff policies in Europe and the United States.
