Abstract:Regional innovation playsacrucial role inleading our country towards apath of greenandlow-carbon development.Thearticle,based on thepanel data from 41 prefecture-level cities inthe Yangtze River Delta from 2010 to 2023,takesadeepdiveintotheimpactof the Yangtze River Delta G6OScienceandTechnology Innovation Vallyon the carbonemission eficiencyusingadifference-in-differences model.According totheresearch findings,theYangtze River Delta G6O Science and Technology Innovation Vally can significantly improvecarbon emisson eficiency,and has passed aseriesof robustnesstests.The Valleycanadvance the improvement ofthecarbon emission eficiencythrough industrial structure upgrade,green technology innovation and increased public awarenessof environmental protection.In cities with high-level governmentintervention,high-levelfinancialdevelopment,and strong digitalinfrastructuresupport,the Valleysignificantlyboosts thecarbonemissionefciency.Additionall,theValleyexhbitsaspatialspillvereffect,with a much greater impact on surrounding cities than on the city itself.
