The Effect of Single/Dual Flow Turbocharger on Plateau Performance of Diesel Engines

Abstract：Inordertosolvetheproblemofinsuficientdieselenginepowerperformanceatplateauevironments，thispaperproposesasolutionfordieselengieequippedwithturbochargersandstudiestheimpactofsingle/dalchanelturbochargersondieselengine performace.Theresultsshowthatathesamealtitude，asthespeedofthedieselengine increases，thepowerand intakevolumeofthe dieselengineshowanupwardtrend，whilethetorqueandfuelinjectionvolumfirstincreaseandthendecrease，andthespecific fuel consumptiofrtdecreassadteninreassAttesedeselegesped，steltideinreass，thetoru，owerntaeoume，andfuelinjectionvolumeofthedieselengineshowadownwardtrend，whilethespecificfuelconsumptionshowsanupward trend.In plateau environments，instaling adual flow turbocharged diesel engine increases the intakevolume by about 5% compared to a single flow turbocharged diesel engine，and reduces specific fuel consumption by about 4% ，ensuring diesel power performance and fuelconomy.Theresearchresultsnotonlysolvetheindustryproblemof"ypoxiaandpowerloss"ofplateaudieselengine，butalsopro vide guarantee for the high efficiency and cleaning of plateau engine.
