Abstract:Protonexchangemembranefuelcells(EMFCs)haveatractedmuchatentionduetotheiradvantagesofhigheficiencylow noise,andno-plutingpropertyHwever,terearestillanyproblemsthatdtobesolvedurgentlysuchastheomplexwateran agementsystem,weakmediumtransportcapabilityshortservicelifetime,porstability,andhighcatalystcost.Optimizingthepefor manceofthecarbopaperbasedgasdifusionlaer(DL)hasbecomethekeytoimprove theefciencyandservicelifetieoffuelcels. Inthispaper,eentresearchprogressoncarbonpaper-basedGDLwasreviewed,overingewGDpreparationprocesses witlasepefo rtionandpateingdsigs,arbonpapermodificationwithgapeneandnanofiberstoeancemehanicaltrength,electricalcoductiity,voiduniforityndgaddporousstructures,andimprovementsinwatermanagementandasstransferpeformancewitheflonhy drophobic agent,with the aim of providing a reference for the future development of PEMFCs.
