[Abstract]Objective： To explore the influence of acceptance and commitment therapy （ACT）on negative emotions and cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia.Method： Sixty patients with schizophrenia in the Third People's Hospitalof Yichun City wereselected fromJanuary2022 to December 2O23as theresearch subjects.By means of the random number table method，the above patients were randomized into control group and observation group，with 3O cases in each group.The control group received conventional drug therapy， while the observation group was treated with“one-to-one”ACT on the basis of the control group.The diferences in clinical symptom control[positive and negative syndrome scale （PANSS）]， negative emotions [Hamilton depression scale （HAMD），Hamilton anxiety scale （HAMA）]， cognitive function [repeatable battery for theassessmentof neuropsychological status （rBANS）， self-management ability [schizophrenia self-management instrument scale （SSMIS）] and social function [social disability screening schedule （SDSS）] were compared between groups before treatment and after 8 weeks of treatment. Result： The scores of PANSS， HAMD， HAMA and SDSS in both groups after 8 weeks of treatment were lower than those before treatment，and the above scores in observation group were lower than those in control group，with statistical differences （ P <0.05）. The scores of rBANS and SSMIS were higher than those before treatment，and the scores in observation group were higher than those in control group， with statistical differences （P<0.05） .Conclusion：ACT can improve the clinical symptoms and negative emotions of patients with schizophrenia，improve the cognitive function，and enhance the self-management and social function.
