The Influence of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction Combined with Acupuncture Treatment on the TCM Syndrome Score and the Degreeof Vertigo Disorder in Patients with Wind Phlegm Obstruction Type Vertigo/WANG Hongxia.//Medical Innovation of China，2025，22（18）： 045-049

[Abstract]Objective：To explore the effect of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction combined with acupuncture treatment on patients with wind phlegm obstruction type vertigo.Method： A total of 8O patients with wind phlegm obstruction type vertigo admitted to Zibo Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2O22to October 2024 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group， with 4O cases in each group，using a random number table method.Both groups were given conventional treatment. On this basis，the control group received acupuncture treatment，and the observation group was treated with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction inaddition to the control group.Both groups maintained the treatment for 14 days.The TCM syndrome scores，the degree of vertigo disorder，thequalityof ifeand the clinical efficacyof the two groups were compared.Result：The total clinical effctive rateof the observation group was higher than thatof the control group，the difference was statistically significant （ P- <0.05）. The scores of nausea and vomiting，head heaviness，mouth stickiness，head stabbing pain，anddizziness handicap inventory （DHI） inthe observation groupaftertreatment were allower than those inthe control group，the scoreof the generic qualityof life inventory-74（GQOLI-74） questionnaire was higher than that of the control group，the differences were statistically significant （ P <0.05）.

Conclusion：The combination of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction and acupuncture can significantly alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients with wind phlegm obstruction type vertigo，alleviate the degreeof vertigo，and help improve their quality of life.
