Analysis of Radar Echo Features of Short-term Heavy Precipitation in Hainan Qinghai Province

Abstract Based on the data of heavy rainfall in Hainan Qinghai Province from June to September of 2017 to 2018, 13 typical cases were selected for analysis. The study applied the new generation of Doppler radar products in Hainan Qinghai Province to classify short-term heavy rainfall and summarize the main types of heavy rainfall weather in Hainan region. Indicators for radar forecast and warning of heavy rainfall in Hainan region were extracted. The radar echo shapes of short-term heavy rainfall mainly included Banded echoes, Block-shaped echoes, and Plate mixed echos. The strongest echoes generally ranged from 41 to 71.5 dBz, and during precipitation, the strongest echoes were typically maintained between 50 and 55 dBz. The appearance of a 50 dBz intensity echo indicated an intensification of precipitation, while its disappearance indicated a weakening of precipitation intensity. The average VIL (Vertically Integrated Liquid) value was 25 kg/m2, and the maximum echo top height during heavy rainfall events ranged from 11 to 18.4 km.

摘要 根據(jù)海南州2017—2018年6—9月強降水資料,從中歸納出13個個例進行分析,并應用海南州新一代多普勒雷達產(chǎn)品對短時強降水進行分類研究,總結(jié)海南州強降水天氣主要類型,提煉出海南州強降水雷達預報預警的指標。(剩余3569字)
