內容摘要：敦煌研究院至今已經(jīng)走過了八十年風雨歷程，敦煌研究院在文物保護、研究工作上所取得的成績，無不表明敦煌研究院的科研人員是文物保護與研究的主體，保護與研究是相需相依、相輔相成的，是將敦煌研究院打造成世界文化遺產(chǎn)保護典范和敦煌學研究高地的必要條件。

—Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Dunhuang Academy

Abstract： The Dunhuang Academy has undergone 80 years of challenges and triumphs over its long history. All of the achievements it has obtained in the conservation and research of cultural heritage indicate that it is， in fact， the researchers of the academy themselves who constitute the primary force of cultural heritage. Conservation and research are interdependent and complementary， and act as necessary conditions for building the Dunhuang Academy into a model of world cultural heritage conservation and a hub for Dunhuang Studies research.
