Abstract:InJuly2024,the InternationalOlympicCommiteeforthefrsttime decidedonthe hosting rightsof the 2030 and 2034 Olympic Winter Games at a plenary sessionand implemented the“Double Allocation Plan”for the hostingrights ofOlympic Winter Games.This majoradjustmentto theregular procedure is closely related to the issue of global warming.By tracing theoriginofthe“DoubleAllocation Plan”forthe biddingcitiesofOlympic Games,it is found thatglobal warming hasan impactonthehost cities ofOlympic Winter Games in aspects such as the construction and maintenance ofcompetition venues,the safety of snow events,and the survival and

developmentofsnowsports.Itisproposedthatunder theimpetus of Olympic Winter Games,strategies such aspromotingmultilateralism to jointly build aclimate community of shared future,adhering to the concept of sustainable development and advocating the hosting of Olympic Games in a green way,and enabling with the help of science and technology to lead the future development of Olympic Winter Games should be adopted to comprehensivelyaddress thechallenges

broughtaboutbyglobal warming.Bydeeply understanding theinstitutional changesofInternational Olympic Commitee,promoting thehostcitiesofOlympic Winter Games to shift from“naturalselection”to“technological construction”,andrealizing the coexistence and interdependenceof“artificial intervention”and“ecological adaptation’oniceand snow sports,itisexpectedto createamoreresilientdevelopmentparadigmof the Olympic Movement in the new era.
