Abstract：ObjectiveTo investigatethe clinical efect of stereoelectroencephalography（SEEG）-guided radiofrequencythermocoagulation inpatientswithgelasticepilepsy．MethodsTheclinical dataofachild with gelastic seizureadmitedtotheDepartment of Neurosurgery，Sanbo Brain Hospital，CapitalMedical Universityin August 2O23 wereanalyzedretrospectivelyand therelevant literature werereviewed.ResultsTheepileptogenic focus was located intheleftanterior temporallobe，and theresultsofrobot-guidedelectrodeimplantationindicated thattheepileptogenic focuswas located intheleftanterior insularannularsulcus.Forfurtheridentification，the anteriorinsularlobewasdestroyedfirst，andthepatientstillhadseizuresafterthedestruction.Aftertheleftanterior temporal lobe electrodesitewas destroyed，theseizure disappeared.ConclusionsTheepileptic foci induced by radiofrequency thermocoagulation under SEEG guidance can be used in the treatment of gelastic epilepsy.
