Abstract： To addresstheissue of signal demodulation impairment caused by IQ imbalance in wideband zero-IFreceivers，a widebandzero intermediatefrequencyIQimbalancecalibrationalgorithmbasedon forwardand backward linear prediction is proposed.First，thefrequency-dependentimpulseresponsecharacteristicsoftheIandQbranchesareestimatedbyminimizingthe sumof meansquared forward-backward linear predictionerors.Then，thediferentialfiltercoeficientsarecomputedrecursively. FinalythelocaloscilatorpaseismatchisiatedbasedontecondordersatisticalpropertiesoftigaladQ imbalancecompensationisimplementedinthedigitaldomain.SimulationresultsdemonstratethatcomparedwiththeSAM algorithmand TPMalgorithm，the proposedalgorithmachievessuperior imagerejectionratioand vector magnitudeerror. Experimentalresultsfurtherconfimthathealgorithmfeaturessmpleimplementationandefectivelyenhancessignaldemodulation performance.
