【Abstract】In order to enhance the eficiencyof the Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEB) test scenarios for passengercars,thisstudyutilizes183highwayaccidentsdatafrom China In-DepthAcident Study(CIDAS)databaseto explore theconstructionof highway-based AEB testing scenarios.Staticanddynamicfactorsare extracted from CIDAS database as clustering variables,anda K-means clustering approach is employed to performa preliminary clasificationof theselectedaccidents.Basedontheclustering results,5representativeaccidenttypes are identified.Basedontheidentified typicalaccidentscenarios,andwithreferencetoexistingevaluationstandards,5highwaytestscenariosforpassengercar AEB systemsare developed.The findingsof thisstudycontribute tothe development andperformance optimizationof AEB system.
