Risk factors for medical adhesive-related skin injury in tumor patients：a scoping review

Abstract Objective：To provide a range review of risk factors for medical adhesive related skin injury （MARSI） in tumor patients，and to provide reference for clinical prevention of medical adhesive related skin injury.Method：Literature on MARSI risk factors of cancer patients in the Cochrane Library，PubMed，Web of Science，EMbase，WanFang Database，CNKI，VIP and CBM were searched from the database establishment to March 31，2023. Two researchers screened the literature，extracted the data，and reported the results.Results：A total of 9 articles were included，with a total of 2 673 cases and 13 risk factors. Include patient factors such as age，allergy history，body mass index，wet skin，MARSI history;Iatrogenic factors，such as peripherally inserted central catheter （PICC） maintenance method，puncture site，puncture frequency，chemotherapy use;Disease factors，such as diabetes，reproductive system tumors，hematological tumors，and ethnic and other sociodemographic factors，were associated with MARSI in tumor patients. Conclusion： Existing studies shows that there are many risk factors for MARSI in cancer patients，but the types of studies included are limited. In the future，more high-quality studies are needed for deeper validation.
