Abstract: [Purposes] In order to timely detect and issue early warnings about abnormal water levels and ensure the safe operation of water conservancy projects,it is necessary to conduct dynamic water level monitoring and early warning for the diversion channels.Therefore,a multi-sensor based dynamic water level monitoring and early warning method for water diversion channels is proposed.[Methods]Firstly, waterlevel data is collected inreal time by multiple sensors installed at critical locationsand automatically transmited to the data center.Low power polling acquisition technology is adopted during the collection process to ensure accurate collected data and low energy consumption in acquisition. Secondly, preprocess and fuse the collected multi-sensor data to improve its accuracy and reliability.Finally,an RTS monitoring and early warning model is built to receive and analyze water level monitoring data in real time,and automatically trigger the early warning mechanism when the water level exceeds the preset threshold.[Findings] The monitoring and early warning results of this method are consistent with reality, with an early warning accuracy of over 90% . [Conclusions] The design method can accurately accom plish for the intelligent monitoring and early warning tasks for dam water levels,ensuring the optimization of monitoring effect.
