Abstract:The sealing performance of connectors is the key performance indicator for evaluating their reliability.Thesealing performanceof most connectorsismainlyachieved through theinterference fitdesignof ruber parts.Based onthe fluorosilicone rubber standard parts,a studyonreliabilityprediction methods basedon thephysicsoffailure (PoF)andqualityconsistency iscarredout.Firstly,the typical failure mechanisms of rubber parts inelectrical connectorsare studied,andaphysics-of-failure model is established.Then,using standardparts, the mathematical relationships between material properties,structural parameters,process parameters,and the coeffcientsinthephysics-of-failuremodelarestudiedtoestablishatransfermodel.Finally,theaccelerated degradationtestsareconductedunder the typical stressconditions toverifytheeffectivenessof theproposed method.The verification results show that the proposed model can accuratelycalculate the physics-of-failure models of rubber parts with different specifications,with an average accuracy of up to 90% :
