Status quo and influencing factors of postoperative care needs of parental liver transplantation donors

Abstract  Objective：To investigate the postoperative care needs and care burden level of parental liver transplantation donors，and analyze the influencing factors of care needs.Method：Totally 219 pediatric donors followed up after transplantation in two major liver transplant centers were investigated using general information questionnaire，parental liver transplant child donor care needs questionnaire and the Zarit Caregiver Burden Inventory.Result：The average level of postoperative care needs among 219 pediatric donors was （102.22±13.29），among which knowledge and information needs，economic and housing needs were particularly prominent.There was a positive correlation between donor's postoperative care needs and care burden.Linear regression analysis showed that the main factors affecting their postoperative care needs were care burden，education level，sleep time per day，living status，time after liver transplant and care duration per day.Conclusion：Parental liver transplantation donors have high level of care needs and care burden， and corresponding support measures should be timely evaluated and taken to meet their care needs and reduce the care burden.
