Abstract:Bulk solidwastes,including stel slag,slag,tailings,sludge,construction waste,glass slag,and other materials,is a mixture of inorganic materials mainlycomposedof silicon oxide,aluminum oxide,calcium oxide,and soon. Thesewastes havesimilarcompositions toinorganicthermal insulationmaterialsandarethemainsourceofreplacingtraditional naturalrawmaterials.Basedonthestructuralcharacteristicsof inorganicthermalinsulationmaterialsandthephysicaland chemical haracteristicsofbulk solid wastes,thispapersummarizes theresearch progressofbulksolid wastes inthe fieldof building energyconservationsuchassolidwaste-basedthermalinsulationfilers,solidwaste-basedadmixtures,andtotal solid waste-basedthermalinsulationmaterials,anddiscusssthetechnical feasibilityofreaearchonphysicochemical characteristics,componentadjustment,andcoordinatedactionofmultiplesolid wastes.Finally,thedevelopment rendofsolid waste -based inorganic thermal insulation materials is proposed.
