Abstract:Through sheartestsonmodeledaggegateconcrete specimens with three distinctaggegate particle sizesof17,23, and30mm,this studyinvestigatestheinfluenceof agregateparticlesizeontheshear performanceandcrack development behaviorof modeled aggregateconcrete.The studyclarifiesthesheartransfer mechanism in modeledagregateconcreteand analyzes diferentaggegateparticlesizesafectconcrete'sshearperformance.According totheresults,astheaggregatesize increases from 17 mm to 3Omm,the peak load increases graduallyand the growth rate decreases gradually.Corrspondingly, theshearslipatpeak loadalsoincreases,withitsgrowthrateacelerating.TheLoad-displacementcurvesforspecimens with thethreeagregateparticlesizesshowapproximatelythre stages:an initialrise,folowed byadecline,andtheneithera secondaryriseorstabilization.Thefractureconditionoftheaggegateinfluencesthetrendofcrack width-slipcurves. Specimens with diffrentagregateparticle sizesdisplaydistinctcharacteristicsintermsofaggregatefractureand crack propagation,with strainconcentrationareascorrelating closelywithaggregate fracturepaterns.Specifically,smalerparticles tendto fracture,leading tomechanicalinterlockandfriction betweencracks totransfershearforces;largerparticlesremain
