Abstract：Both Riccati-expansion method and F-expansion method are used to obtain the exact traveling wave solution of theclassical Drinfel'd-Sokolov-Wilson（DSW） equation in various forms. The results show that the solutions obtained by F-expansion method are richer than those by Riccati-expansion method.
