Abstract The management of medical quality and safety adverse events contributes to enhancing the risk prevention and controlcapabilities andimproving patientsafetylevelsof medical institutions.ProvinceZhas establishedandimprovedarepor ting system formedical qualityandsafetyadverse events,which includes standardizing the scopeand content of reports,formu latinganactivereporting mechanism,constructingathree—levelmanagementorganizational structureattheprovincial,hospital,and departmentallevels.Aprovincial—levelinformationmanagement platform foradverseevents was built,from which qualitymanagement improvements willbeachieved through feedback and learning mechanisms.After implementation,medical institutions haveshownanincreasedawareness ofactive reporting,withthe numberofreportedadverseevents increasing yearby year,andthediferencesofreportinglevelsamongregions narowingannually.Further efortsareneeded tostrengtheninteligent data management,optimize reporting processes,and reinforce safetyculture construction to promote thecontinuous improvement of the adverse events management system.
