The research progress of open - air processing strawberry industry

Abstract: As a high value - added berry, strawberry is often processed into a series of derivative products. Open - air processing strawberry varieties have became the core raw materials for processing and production because of their strong storability and and convenient management. This paper reviews the variety selection, pathogen - free propagation and seedling production, cultivation technologies, and the industry status of open -air processing strawberry in the world to reveal the main issues faced by China’s. It proposes strategies for germplasm resource inovation, green production systems, and value chain extension to provide references for industry upgrading.
