Abstract：Aquaculture disease surveillance and reporting serve as an essential pillar for the development of aquaculture production and the safeguarding of aquatic product quality and safety， playing a crucial role in the sustainable growth of the aquaculture industry. With increasing intensification of aquaculture，continuous technological advancements， and ongoing innovation in farming models， stocking densities have risen substantially. Concurrently，polution in freshwater aquaculture areas一 resulting from industral and agricultural waste，as all as self一generated pollution from，the aquaculture sector—has intensified.This has led to frequent outbreaks of aquaculture diseases， driving higher incidence and mortality rates detected through disease monitoring. By analyzing data from Handan City's aquaculture disease surveillance in recent years， this study examines the timing， causes，and existing challenges of diseases outbreaks in local farmed aquatic species.It proposes targeted prevention and control measures to foster high-quality development of Handan's aquaculture industry.
