Abstract： Icaritin （ICT） is a hydrolytic metabolite icariin isolated from the traditional medicine epimedium.Through a number mechanisms， namely the activation cell death，cell cycle regulation， immunoregulation， inibition tumorcellivasionmetastasis，ICThas exceptionalanti-tumor effctiveness in both in vitro in vivo tests.The review summarizes recent advances in theanti-tumor effcts ICT in order to provide a basis the clinical application anti-tumor drugs their development.
