Abstract:Theplatetyperuberbearingusedinmiddleandsmallspanbeambridgeiseasytoslideunderearthquake,whichmakesthe displacementofpierandbamlarger.Tenergydisipationcapacityanddisplacementcapacityofcompositeubberbearingareelatively high.Theseismicresponsesofcompositerubberbearingandplaterubberbearingunderdiferentworkingconditionsarestudiedby pseudo-statictestandfiniteelementanalysis.Theresultsshowthatcompositerubberbearingcanefectivelypreventthebearingfrom slidingimidleandsmallspanbeambridges,thebending momentofthepierandthedisplacementofthebearingaresignificantly reduced.
