The Development Trajectory and the Explanatory Power of the Translator Behavior Criticism Model

Abstract： The Translator Behavior Criticism Model constitutes a significant component of the Chinese discourse system of translation studies and translation criticism. This paper first examines the development trajectory of the Model， analyzing the characteristics of each stage of its evolution and elucidating its advantageous features. Then， the paper takes Howard Goldblatt's translator behavior as a case to discuss the explanatory power of the Model， aiming to evaluate and validate its rationality， scientific rigor， and systematicity.
