Boundary-Point Agreement in Verb Reduplications： Starting from the Boundedness in Verb Reduplications and Verb Resultatives

Abstract： Verb reduplications and verb resultatives are different structure types with different situational features， even though they belong to the bounded. This article holds that besides the bounded situations， verb reduplication is assigned to a temporal boundary-point， reaching the agreement with those other linguistic units in its external construction. However， verb resultative is not assigned to a temporal boundary-point， but only to the bounded situation. The boundary-point agreement with other linguistic units depends on such temporal deictics as aspectual adverbs“yijing" or aspectual mark “ ”，etc.
