Abstract: Zinc magnesium oxide(ZnMgO),a ternary aloy constituted of wide bandgap semiconductor materials zinc oxide ( Z n O )and magnesium oxide( ).As a direct bandgap semiconductor,theoretically,its bandgap width can be continuously tuned between 3.37 eVof ZnO and 7.8 eVof MgO.It possesses numerous properties such as abundant nanostructures,low preparation temperature,strong radiation resistance,and high stability,making it an excellentdetection material for ultravioletphotodetectors.Moreover,apart from the aforementioned advantages, ZnMgO also exhibits rich physical properties such as piezoelectricity,pyroelectricity,andferoelectricity,which provide new possibilities forthe expansionof theapplications in ultraviolet detectors.Consequently,related research hasbecomeahotspot inthefieldofultravioletdetection inrecentyears.Inviewofthis,this thesiscomprehensively reviews the material properties of ZnMgO,focusing on the research progressinbandgap engineering,feroelectric/pyroelectric/piezoelectricpolarization,and low-dimensional structuresin the structural design,performanceregulation,and application development of its ultraviolet detection devices.
