Abstract:In this research,the use of α -amylase aqueous solution for the safe removal of starch paste from archives,calligraphy and painting was explored,and the chloramine T aqueous solution was employed to deactivate any residual α -amylase in the archives and callgrapyandpainting.Tefetsoftsetreamentsotepsicalpropeiandhmicalstructursofpaper,sellastheolor diferenceandglosinessoftraditionalChinesepaintingpigmentswereevaluated.Theresultsshowedthatwhenthemassfractionof (204號(hào) α -amylase aqueous solution was 0. 02 5 % 1 0 20 % and the treatment time was 1O\~2O min,the archives,calligraphy and painting could be uncoveredflatly,andthepapersurfacewassmoth,andthfibers hadnoobvious fracture.ThechloramineTaqueoussolutioncould effectively deactivate the residual α -amylase in paper,and the optimum mass fraction of chloramine T aqueous solution was 1 . 0 % in the deactivating treatment of α -amylase.Moreover,2 kinds of aqueous solution treatments had no significant effects on the tensile strength, foldingendurance,tearingresistance,softes,hiteness,pvlue,olordiferenceandglosssoftheCinesepaintingigets.
