Abstract： China has unique geographical and climatic conditions，as well as a long tradition of tea culture，and the tea industry is an important partof China'sagricultural economy.However，the traditional tea industry has problems such as high labor dependence，low production effciency，insufficient standardization，unstable tea quality，and weak coordination of allinks in the industrial chain.At the same time，under the background of intensified competition in the international market and increasing domestic demand for high-quality and organic tea，China’s tea industry is facing challenges such as improving quality and production eficiency，enhancing industrial value，and transformation and upgrading of the industrial chain. Therefore，exploring new production methods and technical means has become the key to promoting the development of the tea industry. Targetting at the pain points of traditionaltea industry，smart agriculture technologies can provide systematic solutions for industrial upgrading in response to the shortcomings of the traditional tea industry. Therefore，it is important to understand the application methods and progress of smart agriculture technology in the tea industry chain to upgrade and transform the smart tea industry. This paper summarized the application progress of the current main smart agriculture technologies，including the internet of things（IoT），cloud computing，blockchain，big data，artificial intelligence（AI）and other new digital technologies in the tea industry，especially in systematical and specific application in the tea industry chain covering tea production，processng，circulation and sales，including intelligent tea garden management，intelligent havesting，automated processing， intelligent warehousing and logistics，market analysis，and tea traceability system construction，in order to provide a reference for the upgrading and transformation of the tea industry and the sustainable development of the industry. The application of these smart agricultural technologies has promoted the tea industry to form an intelligent and high-standard tea industry chain，promote the sustainable development of the tea industry，and enhance the international competitive ability.
