Evidence summary for exercise management in patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction

Abstract  Objective：Retrieved and summarized the best evidence for exercise management in patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery，providing the reference′s for exercise management in patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery.Methods：Based on the "6S" pyramid evidence model，the relevant literature on patient movement management after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery were retrieved from BMJ Best Practice，UpToDate，NGC，Registered Nurses Association of Ontario，the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Netuork，NICE，the Yimaitong Guidelines website，the Joanna Briggs Institute （JBI） evidence-based healthcare center database in Australia，the Cochrane Library，PubMed，EMbase，MedLine，CBM，VIP，CNKI，and WanFang Database，including clinical practice guidelines，expert consensus，evidence summary，systematic evaluation，Meta-analysis，and randomized controlled trials.The retrieval time was from the inception to March 2023.After quality evaluation and professional judgment，evidence was extracted and summarized from the included literature.Results：A total of 11 articles were included，including 3 guidelines，5 systematic evaluations，and 3 randomized controlled studies.Ultimately，the best evidence for postoperative patient exercise management in anterior cruciate ligament surgery was formed from 8 aspects：indications and contraindications，to exercise necessity of exercise，exercise principles，exercise time and content，type of exercise control training，exercise supervision，return to exercise time，and return to exercise evaluation tools.Conclusion：This study summarizes the best evidence for patient exercise management after anterior cruciate ligament surgery，and clinical healthcare professionals can create personalized and localized exercise management strategies based on patient wishes，clinical scenarios，and other factors.
