Early mobilization in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation patients：an evidence summary

Abstract Objective：To summarize the evidence related to early mobilization of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation （ECMO） patients.Methods：The guidelines，expert consensus，systematic reviews，evidence summaries，randomized controlled trials （RCTs），and cohort studies of ECMO patients′ early mobilization were retrieved from Up To Date，BMJ Best Practice，International Guidelines Collaboration，UK National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence，Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network，US National Guidelines Network，Ontario Medical Association，American Society of Critical Care Nurses，American Association of Critical Care Nurses，JBI Evidence-Based Health Care Center Database，New Zealand Guidelines Collaboration Network，the Cochrane Library，PubMed，China Biomedical Literature Database（CBM），China National Knowledge Infrastructure（CNKI），Chinese Medical Association Journal Database，VIP Database，and Extracorporeal Life Support Organization Website（ELSO）. Evidence summary was formed by literature inclusion，evaluation，evidence extraction and summary.Results：A total of 11 pieces of literature were included in this study，including 1 guideline，1 expert consensus，3 systematic reviews，1 evidence summary，and 5 original pieces of literature （1 RCT and 4 cohort studies）. A total of 18 best pieces of evidence for early mobilization of ECMO patients were formed from 5 aspects，namely sex，exercise safety and evaluation，patient benefit，exercise prescription，and exercise management plan makers.Conclusions：Clinical nurses should make professional judgments in combination with the actual situation of patients in applying the early mobilization program for ECMO patients and make reasonable reference to evidence so that patients can benefit from it.
