Qualitative research on palliative care needs in Parkinson′s disease：a Meta-integration

Abstract Objective：To systematically review and synthesize qualitative research on palliative care needs in Parkinson′s disease to provide evidence-based guidance for palliative care.Methods：Qualitative research on the needs of Parkinson′s disease palliative care was retrieved from PubMed，EMbase，Web of Science，the Cochrane Library，CINAHL，ProQuest，China National Knowledge Infrastructure （CNKI），WanFang Database，VIP Database，Chinese Biomedical Literature（CBM），and other databases from the establishment of the database to May 31，2022. The quality evaluation standard of the Australian JBI Evidence-Based Health Care Center was used to evaluate the quality of the included literature，and the integration and analysis were carried out according to the Meta-integration method.Results：A total of 11 articles were included，45 results were extracted，and similar results were combined to form 19 new categories and integrated into 6 results：physiological needs，information needs，safety needs，psychological and spiritual needs，social needs，and additional support needs at specific moments.Conclusion：The palliative care needs of Parkinson′s disease were diverse and special. Medical staff should pay attention to the needs of patients;provide them with self-care education，safety monitoring，skills guidance，and social support;and provide additional training to improve the quality of life of patients and caregivers.
