Abstract: This study aims to scientifically investigate the key factors influencing the competitive performance of Chinese luge athletes, precisely identify and effectively address core issues such as deficiencies in starting performance and sliding form control that hinder performance improvement,and establish critical indicators for sport - specific physical fitness centered on athletes’body morphology,physiological function,and athletic capabilities.The Delphi method was employed to screen sport - specific physical fitness indicators for Chinese luge athletes. Based on the data requirements of the Sobol global sensitivity analysis model, test data from 25 national luge team athletes—including sport - specific physical fitness indicators as input variables and track performance as the output variable—were analyzed to evaluate the sensitivity and interaction of these indicators relative to sliding performance, thereby constructing a framework of key physical fitness indicators. The results shows body weight,backward medicine ball throw,neck strength,pull - push composite strength,flat - ice paddling,ice ramp sliding,and anaerobic power (Si)>0.01 ,(STi) >0.05 , demonstrating robust sensitivity and significant interactive effects between the key physical fitness indicators and sliding performance.
