AbstractOjectie:Tinvestigateteectofseletalmusceiexatttidumbarvertebra(L3-SM)onfallisiultiatients. Methods:Atotalof49ptientsadmitedtoatertiarygradeAhospitalinJinancityhandongprovincewereselectedfromDeceber 2022toJuneelpatinttaofpatissivesigatediledmissonfallrs,-utrioalisselrity and pain were assessed.Results:Among the 429 adult inpatients, 163(38.00% )were at moderate-to-high fall risk.Normal L3-SMI was observed in 358 patients (83.45% ),while lowL3-SMI was found in 71 patients (16.55% ).Results of multivariate Logistic regression analysisshowdatfstigfopartiatisutaittitralseilit historyofhypertension,andhistoryofdiabetes,L3-SMwasasignificantinfluencingfactorformoderate-to-highfallisk P<0.05' ! Results of subgroup analysis showed that among patients aged>65 years,with BMI KZ4.0kg/m2 ,and with independent or mildly dependent self-care ability,those with lowL3-SMI had a significantly higher fall risk( (P<0.05) 0.Conclusions:Adult inpatients with low L3-SMI were atmoderate-toghfallisk.L-aserveassreeinidiatortoentifidividualsatmoderatetoghfallrsk.Isoay provide a basis for fallrisk management and clinical decision-making in adult inpatients.
