Novel Medical Pneumatic Proportional Control Module Based on Active Disturbance Rejection Control

Abstract:To address the shortcomings of complex structure,singlecontrol mode,and long development cycleof existing pneumatic medical equipment,a novel medical pneumatic proportional control module was proposed.The module integrated aproportional valve,diferential pressure sensor,pressure sensor,and micro-controlunit,whichhad the function of volumecontrol ventilationand pressurecontrol ventilation.Inviewof thecharacteristicsthatthepressrecontrol performanceof mechanical ventilation was easilyaffected byrespiratory parameters,leakageandother factors,theactive disturbance rejection control strategy was used to improve thestabilityand robustnessof thesystem.Simulation experimentswereconducted to verifythefeasibilityof theactive disturbancrejectioncontroler,and experimentswerecaried outunder diferent setpoints,lung compliance,airway resistance and respiratory rate to evaluate the module performance. The results show that the new medical pneumatic proportional control modulehas the characteristics ofsmall size,high integrationand modularity.Undertheconditionsofuncertainrespiratory parametersand externaldisturbances,the pressure control and volume flow control of the module are within the ranges of 0 to 10kPa and O to 20o L/min respectively. The response time,overshoot and control accuracy of pressure control are less than 200ms ,5% and±1%,respectively,and the response time,overshoot and control accuracy of flow control are less than 150ms , 2% and ±2% ,respectively, meeting the requirements of miniaturization,integration and high precision of medical devices.
