Abstract:Toresearchthehydraulicchangecharacteristicsofriver estuaryandtheriskcaused bydiferent extreme hydrological events,atwo-dimensional hydrodynamicnumerical modelof thetide-sensitive sectionof Xiaoqing River estuary was establishedbyusing MIKE21model.Combinedwiththeflood protectionstandardof theriversection,fourcombinationsof floodand tide encounter weresetupto simulateand analyzethe characteristicsof the water flowchanges of the Xiaoqing River estuaryunder diferentfloodand tidecombinationscenarios,andanalyze theriskof the estuaryunder diferentscenariosaccording tothesimulationresults.Theresultsshowthatwhen therunoff conditions arethesame,the lowerthetidallevelinthelowerreachesoftide-sensitivesection is,thegreater thedecrease in water levelalong he courseis,andthe fastertheflowvelocityis.When thetidallevelsinthe lowerreachesarethesame,thegreater he runoff effect in theupperreachesof tide-sensitivesectionis,the greater the variationrangeofthewaterlevel along the course is,andthefastertheflowvelocityis.Thewatersurface transversedropofthefourcombinationsoffloodtides is gradually increasing inthebendsandtheriskoffloodtidecombinations1and2is higher,andallofthemreach the super-standard flood after the model simulation.
