Abstract:By establishing a two-dimensional model of aP11O steel grade casing with a size of ? 244.5mm ×11.99 mm after wear,the influence of ovality,wall thickness non-uniformity,and wear location on the casing'scollpse strength was thoroughly investigated.Multiple casing models with different combinations of ovality and wall thickness non-uniformity,as well as different wear locations,were established and analyzed using Ansys software,so as to obtain the collapse strength of the casing after wear under various conditions.The results show that the casing'scollpse strength decreases with increasing ovality and wall thickness non-uniformity after wear.When the ovality and wall thickness non-uniformity reach 1% and (20 10% ,respectively, the collapse strength can be reduced by up to 16.5% .However,in some cases (such as the thick-walled area of Type I),the collapse strength may slightly increase. The remaining collapse strength of casings with diferent wear locationsvaries.It isadvisable to control the contact surface between the drill pipe joint and the inner wall of the casing at the short axis thick-walledarea to enhance the collapse strength of the casing after wear under the same wear rate.While ovality and wall thickness non-uniformity mainly affct the casing's collapse strength and have a smaller impact on the location of collapse.When the casing wear rate is very llow,but the ovality and wall thickness non uniformityare large,the ovality and wall thickness non-uniformity will become the main factors affcting the location of casing collapse.The research provides important references for casing design and field application, contributing to the improvement of the safety of oil and gaswells.
