Abstract：The cultural space of comprehen sive archives in the digital age is not only a continuation of material existence but also an intertwined entityof social relationsand spiritual order.Firstly, the concepts of "space" and "place"are analyzed, pointing out that cultural space is an area and a specific place for cultural activities，which integrates and even transcends the material and spiritualaspects.This paper then reviews the connotationsof "Spatial Turn" theoriessuch as "the third space"and "the third place"，and demonstrates thatthe"Spatial Turn"cancontributetothe innovative developmentof comprehensive archives.Secondly，the criteria fordetermining"third spaces" and"third places" that meet therequirementsof the"Spatial Turn"areexamined,andaframework for constructing the cultural space of comprehensivearchives thatmapsto the "Spatial Turn" is proposed.Finally，optimization strategies for constructing thecultural spaceof comprehensivearchivesare provided from the perspectives ofthe planningand decision-making level, the managementand operational level,andthe technical and standardization level.
