A review on water quality remote sensing technology based on
domestic Gaofen series satellites

Abstract : Water quality monitoring and assessment are crucialfor sustainableuse of water resources andthe preservation of aquaticecosystems.Remotesensing technology,withitsuniquecapabityfor long-distancedetection,ofersrapid, eficient,wide-coverage,andhigh-precisionmonitoring,anditisparticularlysuitableforlarge-scale,dynamicwater environment surveilance.Inrecent years,China hasmaderemarkableprogress in the fieldof remotesensing satlite technology.Thesuccessfuldeploymentandcontinuous high-qualitydataoutputofthedomestichigh-resolutiosatelite series have brought new opportunities forrealizing advanced water quality monitoring.This paper systematicaly reviews andsummarizes the current applications of data obtainedfrom the Gaofensatelite series for water quaity monitoring,focusingontheremote-sensinginversionofkeywater-qualityparameters.Furthermore,it outlines futureresearch directions,including the integrationof muli-sourcedata,optimizationof algorithmsand models,andthe developmentof theoreticalmodels.This study provides detailedreferences forthe future development and research on water quality monitoring using domestic satellites.
